Four years after its product launch, the VARIO MOVE transport robot is not only performing at the LogiMAT trade fair with impressive load cycles: The series of automated guided vehicles (AGV) has also established itself in many industries and different company sizes with its versatility and reliability.

Special solutions for every transport task: Due to the ongoing trend towards automation, more and more companies, regardless of their size and sector, are integrating driverless transport systems into their intralogistics and benefiting from decisive competitive advantages. Customized automation solutions are important key factors for long-term high profitability with low personnel dependency.

Efficient intralogistics in the cash center: the transport robots used seamlessly connect various intralogistic functional areas, thus creating an optimized and continuous material flow at the respective locations.

The management of the Hamburg-based AGV manufacturer ek robotics has been expanded with Martin C. Klein and Andreas Lindemann, two experienced managers have been added to the management team. Andreas J. Böttner joins the company's new advisory board in July.

North German partnership: The retail company Fitshop GmbH (formerly Sport-Tiedje) is automating its new logistics center with driverless transport systems from ek robotics. In Osterrönfeld near Rendsburg, nine transport robots from the VARIO MOVE series and four fully automated VNA MOVE narrow-aisle forklift trucks will optimize the home fitness expert's transport and warehouse processes.

The election at the board meeting was unanimous: Jan Drömer, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at ek robotics, will take over the chairmanship of the Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association for the next two years.
