E&K AUTOMATION Ltd, the English branch of the German transport robotics specialist E&K AUTOMATION GmbH, is starting the second half of the year with a new Managing Director. From July 1, 2020, Chris Price (48) will join our team. We are very pleased that we have been able to gain such a proven industry expert for our UK business.

The automated stacking of dimensionally unstable goods in block storage is still a technical challenge. ek robotics has, for the first time, used 3D cameras in combination with innovative image analysis software to meet the challenge. Tests in a pilot project at a customer site have been extremely successful.

The Hamburg-based company Gebr. Heinemann relies on ek robotics to supply the duty free store at Olso Airport. Gebr. Heinemann operates one of the largest European duty free stores at the international terminal of Oslo Airport, which opened in 2017. The goods for this store are transferred from the central warehouse in Hamburg to the goods receiving area of the airport. From here, they have to be transported to the duty free stores as required.
