For many manufacturing companies in Eastern Europe, the initial situation for investments in AGV systems has changed significantly in recent years. A lack of skilled workers with rising wages, a high fluctuation rate and increasing order volumes make investments in AGV projects more attractive. "Automation of intralogistics processes is quite late in this market, there is huge potential for growth," says Ronald Kretschmer, Chief Sales Officer of ek robotics. Due to the increasing automation trend, the ek robotics group is also recording strong growth: "With the new location in Hungary, we want to participate in the pent-up demand in the field of production and logistics automation as well as the further growth potential in Eastern Europe and further expand our international presence. In addition to numerous AGV systems, a comprehensive service network for CEE, Central and Eastern Europe, is to be created to support our customers in maintaining the systems," says Andreas Böttner, CEO of ek robotics.
AGV expert Tamás Zahornitzky becomes new managing director of ek robotics kft.
Tamás Zahornitzky, 40, has worked in production and logistics automation for more than 14 years and most recently served as sales and marketing manager at Hungarian systems integrator Gamma Digital. In the past five years, the forty-year-old manager has held this position and implemented several successful automation projects together with ek robotics in Eastern Europe. Now, as Managing Director of the ek robotics subsidiary in Hungary, the experienced automation specialist and business developer will set up the new location in Budapest and market ek robotics' diverse range of solutions in Eastern Europe. "Since the first jointly realized projects, I have already been convinced of the range of solutions and the service expertise of ek robotics. The demand for AGVs is increasing enormously in Eastern Europe and ek robotics has significantly more potential in this market. In the discussions with the ek robotics management, common visions and goals quickly developed, which we want to realize together from now on. I am looking forward to the new challenge, the establishment and expansion of the new site and team, as well as being able to represent the ek robotics brand in several countries," says Tamás Zahornitzky. In the long term, ek robotics kft. is to establish itself as the AGV market leader in Central and Eastern Europe.
